Warranty Terms

The supply of commercial products (“the Goods”) by Eurotec Australia Pty Ltd (“Eurotec”) to the original purchaser (“the Purchaser”) is made on the following terms and conditions (“Warranty Terms”). These Warranty Terms supersede all previous versions to date.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. The benefits to you given by this warranty are in addition to other rights and remedies you may have under law in relation to the goods or services to which the warranty relates.

1. Warranty Period

1.1 Eurotec, in its reasonable discretion, will repair or replace any Goods purchased by the Purchaser to remedy any failure due to faulty workmanship or materials, provided that:
(a) products may have acceptable manufacturing variance;
(b) any replacement or repaired Goods will only be warranted for the unexpired portion of the original warranty period;
(c) standard warranty is 12 months Parts & Labour, extended to 24 months Parts & Labour if the Goods are registered with Eurotec Australia Pty Ltd within 30 days of installation;
(d) the warranty is applicable to the serial number (unique asset) and is not transferable to another asset;

2. Warranty Conditions

2.1 The provision of this warranty is subject to:
(a) The Goods being paid for in full and the Purchaser not being in breach of Eurotec’s General Terms and Conditions;
(b) no longer than 12 months (or 24 months if registered) having elapsed from the date of despatch from Eurotec’s warehouse;
(c) Eurotec or its representative having access to the Goods for inspection and verification of any claim. A defect must be reported within the warranty period;
(d) The Goods not being repaired or altered without prior authorisation from Eurotec;
(e) The Purchaser using and maintaining the Goods in accordance with Eurotec and/or Electrolux Professional instructions and accepted operating practices;
(f) correct storage and installation of the Goods;
(g) only labour provided or approved by Eurotec being covered under this warranty;
(h) use of only genuine spare parts and recommended cleaning/rinse/descaling agents;

2.2 Certain items are only covered by a maximum of 12 months warranty, including: pilots, piezo leads, piezo ignitors, sensors, and thermocouples.

3. Warranty Exclusions

3.1 The warranty does not cover:
(a) incorrect or poor maintenance, including cleaning/repairing blocked or clogged burners, injectors, pilots, piezos, ignition sensors, or drains, or labour costs associated with routine cleaning;
(b) fair and normal wear and tear, damage or alteration due to circumstances outside Eurotec’s control, such as power surges, poor water quality, or inappropriate chemicals;
(c) any part not originally supplied by Eurotec or subject to misuse, neglect, alteration, accident, or incorrect installation;
(d) failures caused by customer-supplied specifications or designs;
(e) poor installation, or any third-party equipment not manufactured by Eurotec or Electrolux Professional;
(f) installation or removal costs, transport costs to return Goods to Eurotec (unless pre-paid);
(g) consumables including filters, gaskets, seals, handles, knobs, light bulbs, and cleaning agents, unless defective from manufacture;
(h) damage caused by environmental conditions (e.g. freezing, corrosion, oxidation);
(i) cosmetic damage (scratches, dents, chips) reported more than one (1) week after delivery;
(j) serial numbers removed, altered, or illegible;
(k) any modifications to product hardware, software, or programming;

4. Purchaser Obligations

4.1 Use the Goods in accordance with all instructions provided by Eurotec.

4.2 Comply with all applicable government and local regulations.

4.3 Take necessary safety measures in the storage, installation, and operation of the Goods.

5. Warranty Service Hours

5.1 Eurotec approved warranty work is arranged during normal working hours only, Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 4:00pm, excluding public holidays.
